Karen Hines

Karen Hines is a Canadian actor and playwright.
She has appeared in several television series directed by Ken Finkleman, including Married Life, Foreign Objects, Puppets Who Kill and The Newsroom. She has also written several plays, including Hello...Hello and the Pochsy Plays trilogy. The Pochsy Plays were nominated for the 2004 Governor General's Awards. She has worked in the past with another Canadian playwright, Darren O'Donnell.
Hines has appeared on stage in Canadian productions of Angels in America and Hedwig and the Angry Inch, among other plays. She also appeared in the film version of Hedwig.
Hines has worked extensively with Canadian clowning duo Mump and Smoot and One Yellow Rabbit (see also oyr.org ).
She has also worked with Philippe Gaulier and is considered a Canadian authority on Bouffon. Hines is also a student of Richard Pochinko.
