Karaoğlan is a Turkish comic book that was created in 1963 and drawn by Suat Yalaz. The comic's story takes place between the 12th century and 13th century in Central Asia. The main character, Karaoğlan, has been attributed to being a power figure for Turkish youth. This notion has stemmed from the comic's plot. Karaoğlan saves the town from foreign warriors in a lot of the story. Karaoğlan's father Baybora and his father's friend, Balaban sometimes help Karaoğlan with the fighting that takes place in the comic.

The name Karaoğlan is translated into "black boy". This is attributed to his hair color. "Karaoğlan" has been translated to "Kebir" in French.

Suat Yalaz is attempting to produce a cartoon and eventually a film.

Also Bülent Ecevit, old PM of Turkey is called as Karaoğlan in public and rural areas.
