Hello, my name is Matthew Roberts. Not much to say about myself, being a boring surburbanite in Leander, Texas. Currently involved with the internet to a high degree. Developing a personal website, and will upload it as soon as some database problems are fixed. I have many, many interests, way too many to list, but, eh, I'll try.

• Trains- I love both real and model trains, and boy am I a wannabe foamer!
• Architecture- my second love, partially satisfied by model railroading.
• Internet- surfing the web and web design happen to be hobbies for me.
• Lego- this hobby has petered out due to trains taking over my money.
• Languages- most likely awoken by Lord of the Rings, I must learn six of these!
• Whole Foods- what has to be the best store ever!

• At times one can feel very alone being a Democrat in a very red state like Texas. This quiz, from a Libertarian group, ranks me as a Liberal.
• As a member of the Churches of Christ I believe in a singular God and in non-instrumental accompaniment during worship.
• Public transport should be much more emphasized during Civil engineering, especially rail transport. The New York City area is a prime example.
• Union Pacific should relax its iron-fisted trademark policy.
• Missouri Pacific was one of the best railroads that have ever served the nation. An innovator in many fields, it was one of the richest railroads in America during the 1970s and 1980s before the hostile takeover by Uncle Pete.

• To railfan on every Class I railroad in the United States.
• Become an accomplished architect, politician, and/or web designer.
• Travel to every continent on the world.
• Learn six different languages at at least the -3 level.
• Become highly proficient in XHTML, CSS, C++, Java, JavaScript, Visual Basic, and PHP.
