Kapok Guitar or Gitar kapuk is either a Malaysian term or a brand of a guitar that shares the same name.The name originates from a brand of a guitar, Kapok which is popular for it's cheap guitar price and low quality of guitar amplification.

Gitar kapok is also a term for any acoustic or classical guitar in Malaysia.This term was used commonly among school students who have little information about guitar brands.
