From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kapitangan is one of the largest barangays of Paombong (in the Philippines) in terms of area. Strategically located, it is bordered by the municipalities of Malolos and Calumpit. Kapitangan is known as a pilgrimage area during Holy Week. Devout Catholics flock to the barangay chapel to obtain the blessed oil believed to possess healing capabilities. On Good Friday, a reenactment of the Passion of the Christ is being held.
