Kapisillit

Kapisillit is a settlement in West Greenland in the municipality of Nuuk. It is located 75 kilometres from Nuuk at approximately 64°25′60″N, 50°16′00″W. The inhabitants (88 as of Jan. 2004) mostly subsist on hunting, fishing and tourism. The settlement has its own school, church, and grocery store.

Kapisillit is Greenlandic for 'The salmon'. The name refers to the fact that the only spawning-ground for salmon in Greenland is a river near the settlement.
