Kaoteon is a black metal band hailing from Beiruit, Lebanon, despite the fact that metal music is outlawed in that country. The band formed in 1999 and five years later Kaoteon released a demo album, Provenance of Hatred, running 13 minutes and 13 seconds. There are three tracks on the album: 1. Decrepitude, 2. Provenance of Hatred, 3. Wrenched.

Current members include Kaos (Anthony Kaoteon) on guitars and bass, vocalist Wolflust (Walid) and percussionist Blaster (Ziad).
