Kannada Sahitya Parishat

Kannada Saahithya Parishath (Kannada: ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಪರಿಷತ್ತು, English/blockquote (literally): Kannada literature organisation) is an Indian non-profit organisation that regulates the Kannada language. It was founded in 1915 at Bengalooru (in Karnataka state, India), to promote the usage of Kannada through publishing books, organising literary seminars, etc., It also organises an annual conference on Kannada literature called, Kannada Sahithya Sammelana. The president of the organisation is a noted Kannada literateur, chosen annually.
