Kane is an action game by Mastertronic, published in 1986. The game runs on Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64 and Sinclair ZX Spectrum.
The game is set in the Wild West. There are four distinct levels: (i) Bow and Arrow; (ii) Ride to Kane; (iii) Shoot Out; (iv) Train Ride. These may be played separately in the "Practice Mode", but in order to complete and win the game, they must be played successively. There is a certain target score that allows you to progress to the next level.
As in other action games, all of the levels require quick joystick or keyboard manipulation in order to gain points. In Bow and Arrow and Shoot Out, the player must shoot a certain number of birds or people. In Ride to Kane and Train Ride, the player is on horse back. There are a number of obstacles (bushes, shrubs, etc.) that the player must avoid by jumping over.
