Kandal, Norway

Kandal is a small village located by the Breimsvatnet lake south of Sandane in Gloppen municipality, Norway. The population is approximately 80, and it stretches over about 5 kilometres.
Surrounded by high mountains, the main profession is goat farming. There is two mountain dairy farms (Norwegian: seter) in Kandal; Myklandsstøylen and Nesstøylen. In the summer most of the people here take their animals up there to milk them.
