Kanagi, Aomori

Kanagi (金木町; -machi) was a town located in Kitatsugaru District, Aomori Prefecture, Japan.

As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 10,670 and a density of 84.70 persons per km². The total area was 125.97 km².

It is the birthplace of author Dazai Osamu.

On March 28, 2005, the town of Kanagi merged into the city of Goshogawara.
