Kan Kikuchi (菊池 寛 Kikuchi Kan?) (December 26, 1888 - March 6, 1948) is a Japanese author born in Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. His real name is written using the same kanji, though the last character is read as Hiroshi (?). He started the publisher Bungei Shunju Inc., the monthly magazine Bungei Shunju (文藝春秋?), established the Japan Writer's Association and the Akutagawa and Naoki Prize of popular literature. He was also been the head of Daiei Motion Picture Studios (now Kadokawa Pictures). He is known to have been an avid player of Mahjong.
