Kampung Baru is a large Malay area near downtown Kuala Lumpur.

Kampung Baru was established in the 1920s by both Federated Malay States and Selangor government during the redevelopment plan of Kuala Lumpur from a tin-mining village to a main town.
Today, Kampung Baru has become a modern Malay villages. Many wooden houses have changed into bricked houses.
