Kaminia (Achaia), Greece

Kaminia (Greek: Καμίνια) is a village in the prefecture of Achaia. Since the 1980s, the village is bypassed by Interstate 9|GR-9. It is part of the municipality of Vrachneiika, in the southern part. Distance from Patras is 17 km SW and 79 or 77 km NE of Pyrgos (old distance: 83 km). Its nearby communities are Alissos to the southwest, Tsoukouleika to the north, Agios Stefanos to the east and Kamenitsa to the south. The road is also connected to the industrial area and sometimes fo GR-33.

The community has a school, a church, a hotel, a small square (plateia), and a beach. The community has a small train station and is connected by rail. The local geography has a few farms and east are covered with hills with a few abandoned quarries.
