Kamba Ramayanam is a Tamil epic that was written by Kamban during the 9th century. Running to 10,368 verses of four lines each, it describes the life of Lord Rama. Though it was based on Valmiki's Ramayana in Sanskrit, it differs from it in multiple aspects. Kamba Ramayanam is known for its brilliant use of rhyme and similes.
