Kalandia (31°51′N 35°12′E; Arabic: قلنديا‎) also Qalandiya, is a Palestinian village and adjacent refugee camp located about halfway along the road from Jerusalem to Ramallah on the West Bank. It was established in 1949 and is home to 9,047 refugees[citation needed].

There is also a major Israeli checkpoint for Palestinians crossing into Jerusalem nearby. The checkpoint has recently been expanded into a terminal-like structure with passage restricted to those with the proper permits[citation needed].
