The Kalamazoo Transportation Center is an intermodal complex located in downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan. Amtrak provides regular service there, and Greyhound is expected to resume service by November. [1] The center is also the major downtown transfer hub for Kalamazoo Metro Transit's bus system.
[edit] Development
The Kalamazoo Train Station was built in 1887. Before reconstruction it also serviced Greyhound and Indian Trails bus lines. The actual project was a collaboration between local, state, and federal authorities, with the Department of Transportation awarding a $3.8 million grant.[2]
