Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge is a Disney Channel Original Movie released in October of 2001 to go along with the holiday of Halloween. This is the first sequel in the Halloweentown series and it was followed by two other, Halloweentown High in 2004 and Return to Halloweentown in 2006. Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge was known by two other names as well during production, Halloweentown II and Return To Halloweentown. This title was again used for the sequel Return to Halloweentown

[edit] Plot
Two years after the events of the movie Halloweentown, Marnie prepares to spend a year with her grandmother Aggie in Halloweentown. While hosting a neighborhood Halloween party Marnie tries to impress a new boy, Kal, by showing him Aggie's magically-hidden room. Kal steals Aggie's spellbook.
Soon Aggie notices unwelcome magical symptoms. She and Marnie travel to Halloweentown to investigate and fix the problem before the portal between Halloweentown and the mortal world, open only on Halloween, closes at midnight. They discover the whole town has been made grey and dull, and the inhabitants have been turned into humans (or rather, into the Halloweentown charicature of humans as dreary and monotonous beings concerned only with such things as sensible dress). Aggie diagnoses a "grey spell."
Aggie contacts grandson Dylan back home for a spell from her book, and Dylan and Sophie discover the book is missing. Marnie and Aggie learn that Kal is the son of their enemy Kalabar (from the previous movie). Kal stole Aggie's book to limit her ability to hinder his attempt to revenge his father on both Halloweentown and the mortal world.
Aggie searches for her spare copy of her spell book at her house in Halloweentown, but it is missing. She eventually learns it was acquired by Kalabar decades ago. Aggie becomes caught in the grey spell. Marnie, while trying her own solution involving time travel, accidentally learns how to break the spell. Then the Halloween portal to the mortal world closes before she can return home.
Kal, having enspelled Halloweentown into a boring charicature of the mortal world, is now at work enspelling the mortal world into a monstrous charicature of Halloweentown. Sophie and Dylan realize that Alex was a golem,to make thier mom believe it Sophie creates a fly Alex/Golem eats the fly and ends up getting dispelled by Gwen. Gwen suddenly takes off her mask then Cal makes the mask stick to her face then gets on with turning everyone including Gwen getting turned into monsters!
Marnie, trapped in Halloweentown, frees Aggie, contacts her siblings, and they create a new portal between Halloweentown and the mortal world. Kal produces both spell books, which Marnie takes from his hands. Kal then vanishes, apparently not of his own desire, and the family breaks the spells to set things right in both the mortal world and Halloweentown.

- In the first Halloweentown Kalabar is spelled with a C, but in this one, Kalabar (including Kal)spelled with Ks, but in the credits Kal's name is spelled with a C.
- Another thing is that Marnie said that it has been 2 years since her first visit to Halloweentown during the beginning. Sophie said that Aggie has been away for 1 year, not two.
Explanation : this is not a goof. Obviously, after living in the mortal world for a year, Aggie went back to Halloweentown for a visit. She still lives in the mortal world as evidenced by her having a magically hidden room in the Pipers house.
- On TV, when it shows, The party counts down to 21 seconds to midnight before the commercial but, when they get back the party is at 52 seconds yet the action continues as it did from 21 seconds.
