Due to the nature of the Japanese language there has been some controversy over the proper way to write the English name for Kaeru No Tame Ni Kane Wa Naru (カエルの為に鐘は鳴る). Here is the list of different English names:

• A Bell Tolls for the Frog (according to Ex-Nintendo Employee)
• For the Frog the Bell Tolls
• On Behalf of the Frog: The Ringing Bell (according to FryGuy64's Nintendo Database)
• For a Frog the Bell Tolls
