Kadyny

Kadyny (German: Cadinen or Kadinen) is a town in North-Eastern Poland in Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship near the city of Tolkmicko. Kadyny used to be a residence of the Hohenzollern Prussian kings, emperors.
The territory Cadiner Land was named after Cadina, a daughter of a Prussian chief and bordered in the south on the Prussian territory of Lanzanien or Lenzen. With the arrival and government of the Teutonic Order in Prussia, they built a Teutonic Order Hof (estate) near the site of the Prussen Burg (castle) Cadina. At this Teutonic Order Hof site the Order held court over the native Old Prussian inhabitants in this area. Therefore Cadinen was a very important place in the times of the Teutonic Order state.
The subsequent town was named Cadinen, Kadinen until 1945 and is now Kadyny.
As Cadinen it became a breeding site for Trakehner horses and at Kadyny it is again today.
