K31GL is a low-powered Almavision affiliate for the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex, licensed in DeSoto, Texas, owned and operated by Mako Communications. It is not available on either Time Warner Cable, Charter Communications, Verizon FiOS, or USDTV at this time.

This station began as a repeater for Univision affiliate KUVN-TV in 1999, then in 2004, KUVN sold the low-powered station and turned their license over to Mako Communications, making the station an America's Store affiliate for 2 years. At that time, the call sign eventually changed to K31GL. During the summer of 2006, the station picked up Almavision.

On February 19, 2009, which is the end of the digital TV conversion period for full-service stations, K31GL will be required to turn off its analog signal and turn on its digital signal (called a "flash-cut").
