K. C. Armstrong

Kyle Casey (K.C.) Armstrong (born July 17, 1975) is an actor, amateur bodybuilder, model, and comedian.
He grew up in Suffolk County, Long Island. His father was the head wrestling coach at Port Jefferson High School.
He was formerly a quarterback for the Western Kentucky University football team, and associate producer and on-air personality on The Howard Stern Radio Show.
During the September 11, 2001 attacks on New York City, when Howard Stern stayed on the air with his cast/crew while many other broadcasters fled the city, Armstrong left the city immediately, visited a tanning salon, and refused to return for several days. Stern and every other member of the show continued to broadcast over the subsequent days following the disaster. Armstrong was ridiculed on-air for his antics by members of the show, especially Robin Quivers and Stuttering John. As penance, KC put on a dress and appeared at a local racetrack with Dominic Barbara to raise money for charity.
In other show appearances, Armstrong was frequently mocked for stupidity (he earned a 710 combined score on his SAT; "You don't serenade a steak, you marinate it. These are the people I have working for me, ladies and gentlemen.") and his (alleged) homosexuality. Armstrong is known for discussing his completely abnormal perceptions of people and situations (including romantic) on the air.
In 2004 KC won over $350,000 on a single hand of "Let it ride" on an online gambling site. As detailed on the air, he proceeded to lose all these winnings over the next few days.
In late 2004, Armstrong was fired from the show for his absenteeism, which was caused by drug and alcohol abuse, per his call into the show on July 1, 2005. On the July 26, 2005 Stern show, Armstrong called in to explain how he had come to hate K-Rock General Manager Tom Chiusano, who was responsible for firing him. A confrontation ensued with Chiusano, moderated by Stern.
Robin Quivers stepped in and cautioned Armstrong to accept the fact that his interpretations of events have caused him problems in the past, and that he should not trust his analysis of the situation now. Quivers pointed out that Armstrong's ability to discern does not comport with reality in general.
Undeterred, Armstrong continued to express his dislike of Chiusano; the exchange ended with Tom denying having ever disrespected Armstrong. Armstrong nonetheless made it clear he blamed Chiusano for his hasty departure.
On the December 14, 2005 Stern show, Armstrong appeared in person (with the director of the California rehab he attended) and apologized to Chiusano for his on-air behavior in July. He acknowledged that Chiusano had treated him well during his employment, and his termination was fair, considering Armstrong's mental state and work habits at the time of his firing.
Armstrong has acted in three movies: Death4Told, Grace and the Storm and Secret War. He has also appeared in the comedy DVD Meet the Creeps.
Armstrong now lives in California, where he is trying to start a career in acting and has released his own comedy DVD Die Laughing through his web site. Armstrong started accepting orders for the disc in May 2005, but has not sent the orders out as of October 2006.
In January of 2006 Armstrong called in to the Howard Stern show from the rehab clinic he was living at. He apologized for missing Stern's birthday, explaining that he had ended up in a stolen vehicle somehow and fallen asleep behind the wheel. Armstrong also vigorously defended the delayed release of his DVD, claiming that it was finished and would begin shipping soon.
On June 21, 2006 during a telephone interview on the Stern show, Armstrong claimed that the DVD is finished and it is "out of his hands". He said the distribution company is producing the DVDs and customers should receive it "any day now". Pre-orders are no longer being taken for the DVD. A class action lawsuit is being prepared against Armstrong [citation needed].
On the October 19, 2006 Howard Stern show, K.C. revealed he was dating a girl named "Candle". During the ensuing phone interview of both by Howard, Candle and K.C. revealed that they were "serious" and had been seeing each other for a year.
