1 Bob Sapp broke his hand while fighting Ernesto Hoost and could not continue. Alternate Martin Holm could not fight therefore Ernesto Hoost was allowed to advance to the next round.

  • This would mark the fourth WGP win for Ernesto "Mr. Perfect" Hoost. As of 2006 no one else in K-1 has won as many WGPs.
  • This would also mark the fifth WGP final appearance by Hoost. As of 2006 no one else has done this as well.
