Kęsgailos

Kęsgailos – was the Lithuanian noble family, one of the biggest land owners in Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Family traces its roots from the 14th century (first representative of the family Buseika) . Their seat was Samogitia and Trakai regions. From 1412-1532 voivodes of Samogitia.
According to the 1528 military inventory documents, family provided the biggest number of troops in Grand Duchy of Lithuania [1]. Family died out in the 16th century.
