Kötzschau was a municipality in the Merseburg-Querfurt district, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is now belongs to Leuna. It is situated approx. 11 km southeast of Merseburg.

Kötzschau was part of the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft ("collective municipality") Kötzschau, which was dissolved October 01, 2006.
