Károly Lotz

Lotz Károly Antal Pál, or Karl Anton Paul Lotz (December 16, 1833, Bad Homburg vor der Höhe - October 13, 1904, Budapest) was a German-Hungarian painter.

Karl Lotz was born in Germany, the seventh child of Wilhelm Christian Lotz and Antonia Höfflick. His father was working as a valet of prince Gustav zu Hessen-Homburg during the prince's military service at the Congress of Vienna.
