Hello, I thought that the article contained a good amount of useful information. I would only have a few outside comments: I don't know if it is grammatically correct and it just sounds strange but the sentence that begins "The Asians..." that just seems odd to me. Maybe something more like "Many Asian cultures" or "People from Asian countries...", also I think it would be great if you talked more about the specific medicinal properties of ginger and how they relate to the plant compounds it contains. For example, ginger is classified as a stimulant as well as a diaphoretic which is why it is good for promoting (stimulating) digestion and for inducing sweating which helps to lower a fever. In Chinese medicine Ginger is said to have a warming effect. It also contains anti inflammatory properties which are also useful in external applications.Ginger is also a stimulate whose benefits help aid in the digestion of food. Similar to anti inflammatory medicines such a Malox or Tums, ginger is naturally breaks down the food in your body. Ginger also induces sweating helping one to get rid of a fever. What weather does the ginger plant like? Also, I thought the ginger along with sushi was not only decorative but to help cleanse your palate in between servings.

I just found an informative site that talks about the metabolic components of ginger and the phenolic compounds involved that help fight free radical formation in the body which may explain much of its usefulness in fighting disease. Free radicals can cause damage to cells and lead to tissue breakdown.
