Justin Pierre was born May 26, 1976 and is the frontman (Lead Singer) for the band Motion City Soundtrack. Justin formed the band (Motion City Soundtrack) in high school with a friend (Joshua Cain) in 1999. Originally, he is from Mahtomedi, Minnesota. He's the lead singer and also plays guitar. Justin is also the primary lyricist for the band and is noted for his pronounced sideburns, wild hair, and glasses (which are made by the company "Kirk Originals"). He's had a serious drug and Alcohol problem in the past, which almost led to the break up of the band itself, Motion City Soundtrack. Justin is an anime fan and was seen wearing a Cowboy Bebop t-shirt during autograph signings at the Vans Warped Tour in San Francisco on July 8, 2006. He also suffers from asthma (he has to use his inhaler on stage), enjoys filmmaking, and makes short films. Pierre is most renowned for his raw courage as well as soul- catching lyrics. Since 2004 Justin Pierre has been, for the most part, sober with few relapses, and with the help of his bandmates it is hoped that this trend will continue, for the good. His band Motion City Soundtrack is planning to release an as-yet-unnamed third album in 2007, and fans have very high expectations for the release to follow the success of 2004's "Commit This to Memory".

In addition to singing for Motion City Soundtrack, Justin has sung guest vocals on Fall Out Boy's "Chicago Is So Two Years Ago" and Small Towns Burn a Little Slower's "Alias: The Beekeeper".
