"Just Who Is The 5 O'Clock Hero?" was the second single to be released by The Jam from their sixth studio album The Gift. Released on 3rd July 1982 as an import single it charted at #8 in the UK singles chart.

It was backed by the B-side "The Great Depression".

The upcoming band Five O'Clock Heroes cites The Jam as one of their inspirations and most likely derive their name from this song.
