JUST NORTH OF NOWHERE, (2006) is a contemporary fantasy novel by Lawrence Santoro. Set in the "driftless zone" (or "Coulee Region") of the American upper Midwest, "Just North of Nowhere" follows the lives and fortunes of a dozen or so citizens of the fictional town of "Bluffton." One of the stories in this "accidental novel," God Screamed and Screamed, Then I Ate Him, was nominated for a Bram Stoker Award in Long Fiction.
