[edit] Gameplay
The player takes control of characters struggling to survive on InGen's "Site B" populated by over 20 species of dinosaurs in an environment of escalating chaos.
Quoted from the official website:
Based meticulously on the creatures created for the film, the characters stalk, track, attack and fight surrounded by an expansive 3D environment packed with biological perils.
Unprecedented access to the film's production as well as dazzling new "Morf-x" technology, has resulted in the most detailed and realistic animation ever...the skin of the dinosaurs appears to stretch as they walk, run, jump, slash, tear and bite! With over thirty levels of gameplay, 25 environments and unbelievably detailed 3D graphics. The Lost World: Jurassic Park promises to deliver a fun, intense heart-stopping experience. [1] |
[edit] Characters
The Lost World: Jurassic Park features five choosable game characters.
[edit] Compsognathus
As the Compsognathus you use your leaping and evading movement to escape some of the larger predators. However, engaging smaller opponents such as Staurikosaurus and Dimorphodon can build your instinct attack level for later encounters in game
[edit] Human Hunter
Braving a steep canyonside as the Hunter you will have to escape an angry gang of Pachycephalosaurus as they try to ram you with their rock-hard skulls. Use your piton to get to safety and fire your flame thrower and grenades at oncoming carnivores to survive.
[edit] Velociraptor
As the Velociraptor you will have to ward off a myriad of prehistoric beasts fighting to protect their territory from the chaos created by man's arrival. Slice and dice your adversaries using aerial lunge attacks, holds and fierce snaps while avoiding fiery pits, rigged explosive crates and other perils.
[edit] Tyrannosaurus rex
As the Tyrannosaurus rex you have to master various attack maneuvers to defend yourself against ambush attacks from Velociraptors, Commandos and one on one battles with other larger beasts. The game play is a bit more brutish than the other choosable dinosaurs, and sometimes less control is easily available.
