Julius Caesar is a 1970 independent (Commonwealth United Entertainment) film of William Shakespeare's play. The film was directed by Stuart Burge, from a screenplay by Robert Furnival, and produced by Peter Snell, with James Swann as associate producer, and Anthony B. Unger and Henry T. Weinstein as executive producers.
Charlton Heston (as Mark Antony) stars with a mainly British cast including John Gielgud (as Julius Caesar), Jason Robards (as Brutus), Richard Johnson (as Cassius), Robert Vaughn (as Casca), Richard Chamberlain (as Octavius), Diana Rigg (as Portia), Jill Bennett (as Calpurnia), Christopher Lee, Michael Gough and André Morell.
