Julie Wafaei (1974-) of Canada is the first woman to row the Atlantic from mainland to mainland. Her Atlantic row was part of an expedition with her fiance Colin Angus to circumnavigate the planet entirely by human power in a bid to promote self-propulsion as a fun and healthy means of travel. Julie is currently co-producing a documentary and writing a book detailing her exploits.
