Juda S. Engelmayer, Vice President, Government and Corporate Issues Practice at 5W Public Relations [1], comes to the firm with significant experience in media, communications, public relations, non profits and government. Most recently, he served as the American Jewish Congress’ Chief Communications Officer where he established himself as key to building the stature of the 86 year old agency. He rebuilt its website, introduced it to blogging and viral marketing and raised the status of the organization using a combination of media and Internet based marketing strategies.
Formerly, he was a VP at Rubenstein Associates, a New York based PR firm, where he handled accounts spanning Rockefeller Center, foreign governments, Internet businesses and public companies, entertainment, Jewish non profits and healthcare and medical research clients. In the seven years preceding that, Juda served as an executive assistant and assistant press secretary to H. Carl McCall, the New York State Comptroller, where he also worked on prompt contracting and granting issues for state funded non profits, and he was part of the campaign process that saw the first ever NY Statewide elected African American elected two times. Juda also has business experience, being an owner of a bit of New York’s Jewish history, Kossar’s Bialy Bakery on the Lower East Side.
Juda publishes articles on assorted political topics, and Israel in particular.
