"Judenrein" means "free of jews" / " no jews in the area" . It does not mean the assasination of jews itself.. .

Nedic regime, led by a convicted and executed traitor, was put in power by the German Third Reich, after the capitulation of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Nedic enjoyed no any popular support, his regime with the Werhmacht ware in a civil war with both the Serb royalists and communists, since 1941 to the liberation of Serbia in 1944. In an effort to keep Nedic regime going, the Werhmacht ordered 100 Serb civilians to be executed for every German soldier dead, and 50 for any wounded.

Another demostration of the intensity of the anti-German sentiments in the Serb led Kingdom of Yugoslavia can be illustrated by the fact that when Prince Paul signed the Tripartite Pact with the Axis powers (basically becoming a non-belligerance pro-German state), massive demostrations triggered a military coup d'état that overthrowed his government two days later. The Kingdom of Yugoslavia took sides with the isolated United Kingdom, against Germany and all their Axis.

Therefore, the mention of Belgrade being declared "judenfrei" during the WWII is almost a counterfeit, without details about who declared that and who and how administered Serbia during that time. Also should be mentioned the context of such statement, that was inusual. Such statement is indignating also because ethnic Serbs suffered the Catholic holocaust insanity from the German installed "Independent State of Croatia" (that included territories of today Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Republika Srpska) during WWII.
