[edit] History
[edit] Samurai Shodown
Jubei is the master of the Modified Shadow Style of Yagyu, and is a strict follower of the concept of Bushido. After abandoning the strict and regulated life of the dojo, and Japanese Hierarchy, he decides to become a ronin, and pursue personal enlightenment while perfecting his sword skills.
[edit] Samurai Shodown 2
In the midst of his spiritual enlightenment, Jubei is called before the shogunate, who requests he kill the demons who still wander the earth. Jubei accepts, but unbeknownst to him, a sinister force desires his soul.
[edit] Samurai Shodown 4
Apparently failing in his quest to exterminate the demon atrocity, Jubei is nevertheless summoned before the shogunate again. This time, the Shogunate caught wind that the cause of the calamities occurring around the globe is the "Dark Castle" and orders Jubei Yagyu to investigate and subdue its lord.
[edit] Trivia
- He is based on the legendary samurai of the same name (Yagyū Jūbei Mitsuyoshi).
- "Slash" mode Jubei is based on his appearances in Samurai Shodowns one and two, whereas "Bust" Jubei is largely a counter-type character who is much harder to use effectively.
