Baler's soldiers are known as "The last of Philippines" ('Los últimos de Filipinas') Even made a movie with the same name.--80.103.129.5 03:04, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Not surrendered to USA

The Heros of Baler din´t surrender to USA. They surrender to philippines natives. The USa army colud not save them from the "Tagalos" attacks —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 212.8.121.235 (talk • contribs).

As part of the Treaty of Paris of 1898, the Phillippines was ceded to the United States and when the Heros of Baler became aware of the situation, they turned over their arms to the United States. The U.S. marines provided them with the security needed for their return to Spain where they were received as heroes. Tony the Marine 21:09, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
