Juan Gelman 1930-

Argentine poet born in Buenos Aires. First publication, '"Violin and other questions".Considered by many one of the greatest contemporary poets.Forced to leave argentina and live as an exile for twelve years.In 1997 he received the National Poetry Prize. His works have been translated to ten languages. He currently resides in Mexico.
