Joshua Webb Roberts was born July 21, 1978 in Meridian, Mississippi. He is the grandson of baseball player Skeeter Webb, who played short stop for the World Series champion Detroit Tigers in 1945.

Josh spent most of his life in Midland, North Carolina and graduated from East Carolina University in 2001.

After graduating from college, Josh was hired by WITN-TV as a weekend newscast producer. He quickly rose to the ranks of 6 and 11pm producer at the NBC affiliate.

In 2003, WGHP FOX8 in High Point, North Carolina hired Josh.

Josh has two brothers, Stephen and Bost and one sister, Sara Kate.
