[edit] MMA Career
[edit] Amateur
Neer began fighting in the MMA in 2002 at the Toad Holler Fight Club where he started and finished his amateur career and went 11-0. Neer won 4 of the bouts by KO and 4 by submission. Neer would then enter MMA professionally. Even though that is all his record shows he was actually 87-1 at Toad Holler Fight Club sometimes fighting two to three times a night. Just look at this old Sherdog.com article. http://www.sherdog.com/news/news.asp?n_id=1288
[edit] Professional
On March 15, 2003, Neer began his professional career by knocking out Josh Kennedy by slamming him to the ground. Neer then went on to win twice and draw once before losing his first MMA fight to "The King" Spencer Fisher. Neer then went on to win 10 straight fights as well as the XKK (Xtreme Kage Kombat) Welterweight Championship. Neer then entered into the UFC and lost to Drew Fickett by submission. Neer then went 2-1 in non-UFC fighting before going back to fight in the UFC where he had wins over young and talented Melvin Guillard and Joe Stevenson, who won the Welterweight division of The Ultimate Fighter 2. Since then, Josh lost a bout to Josh Burkman at UFC 61, and was then defeated by Nick Diaz at UFC 62.
