Josey Scott

Josey Scott (born Joseph Sappington May 3, 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee) is the lead singer of post-grunge band Saliva.

In addition to the success associated with his band Saliva, Scott garnered fame from a duet with Chad Kroeger of Nickelback. Together, they wrote and performed "Hero", which was used as one of the theme songs to the 2002 film Spider-Man. He made a cameo appearance on Jay-Z's "Takeover" on his 2001 album The Blueprint. He has also been in two songs with Lil Wyte, "Homicidal, Suicidal" where he has a rapping part and "Doubt me Now" where he sings the chorus.

In recent years, Josey Scott has made seveal acting appearances on television and film. Scott played Rodney Gronbeck, an LAPD computer expert, in the TNT television crime drama Wanted. Also, he can be seen in a cameo appearance in the film Hustle & Flow as the corner store employee, Elroy, who sells marijuana to the main character D-Jay. .

Josey is married to Kedra Scott and had one child in 2005, Justice. He has another child, Cody from a high school sweetheart.

Josey fronted a popular Memphis area Heavy Metal Band called Black Bone in the early 1990's prior to Saliva. He plays drums and guitar as well.
