Joseph Carmine Testa (b. 1955) was a member of the DeMeo crew, a faction of the Gambino crime family, one of the five Italian Mafia families in New York. The DeMeo crew was notorious for their violence, suspected of between 75-200 murders through the mid 1970s to the early 1980s, when the majority of the crew members still alive were brought to justice.

Joey Testa was one half of the Gemini Twins, a nickname given to him and Anthony Senter, due to the fact that they were always around each other and the primary hangout of the DeMeo crew was the Gemini Lounge in Flatlands Brooklyn, New York. Along with Senter, Testa was sentenced to life in prison on September 14, 1989 and currently resides in a medium security Federal Prison located in Butner, North Carolina [1]

His brother, Patty, was also involved in organized crime, but he escaped prosecution for any involvement in the murders committed by the DeMeo crew. Patrick Testa was shot to death December 2, 1992 not long after completing a jail sentence for car theft. [2]
