Joseph Smagorinsky

Joseph Smagorinsky (29 January 1924 - 21 September 2005) was an american meteorologist.
He developed methods for predicting weather and climate. His numerical models and techniques are widely used in turbulence prediction in large eddy simulations and in computational fluid mechanics.
