Joseph LaShelle

Joseph LaShelle (July 9, 1900 - August 20, 1989) was a Los Angeles-born film cinematographer. He worked with director Otto Preminger on Laura (1944), for which he won an Oscar, and Fallen Angel (1945). He also worked on the film noir Road House. The Academy Award-winning cameraman also worked in television, such as the first episode of The Twilight Zone in 1959 (Where Is Everybody?). He was nominated for 8 Academy Awards, winning once. He often worked with cinematographer/actor Ray Mala.
