Joseph Hinks

Joseph Hinks was a British inventor, working in Birmingham. He patented improvements to oil lamps, marketing the resultant Duplex lamp.

His company, James Hinks & Son, of 91-96 Great Hampton Street and 66 Hockley Street, Birmingham, was established before 1865.

He is buried in Key Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.
