Joseph G. Thompson

Dr. Joseph Cheesman Thompson was a psychiatrist and retired naval officer who founded the modern breeding line of Burmese cats in San Francisco in the 1930s. He was born July 6, 1874 on the Quarantine Station, Long Island, New York and died in San Francisco, California on March 7, 1943. (Source: US naval records.)
