Joseph Cassidy

Joseph "Joe" Cassidy (born July 30, 1872 in Lanarkshire) was a Scottish football player. His favoured position was as a forward. Joseph started his career with Motherwell and Blythe. In 1893, he was transferred to Manchester United, where he played just one match, a test match, against Small Heath. After 2 months at United, he moved to Celtic. In 1895, he returned to United. In 7 seasons with the Red Devils, Joseph played 167 games and scored 99 goals. He retired in 1900.
