Joseph-Désiré Job (born December 1, 1977 in Venissieux, Lyon) is a French-born Cameroonian footballer striker who is currently playing for French Ligue 1 side CS Sedan Ardennes.

Job was born in the French city of Lyon, there he enjoyed a bright start to his footballing career and began training with the famous Olympique Lyonnais club at the age of ten. In his first season there he scored a remarkable 13 goals in 14 games. He was tipped early on to be a future French International player, however he followed his father's advice to instead accept a call-up to the Cameroon national team.

Job joined Middlesbrough in the summer of 2000 for £3million, impressing former manager Bryan Robson with several notable performances for RC Lens in France. Job scored a number of goals for Lens in the 1999/2000 season UEFA Cup.

Job scored 19 goals in 94 total appearances for Middlesbrough. Perhaps his highlight at Middlesbrough occurred when he scored a second minute goal to help them on their way to their first ever trophy, in a 2-1 win over Bolton Wanderers in the 2004 League Cup Final. Job consistently struggled to hold down a first-team spot at Middlesbrough, thus he was loaned-out twice, once at FC Metz (2002) and later at Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad (2005/06) and was frequently rumoured to be transferred away from Teeside. Job's struggle to win a first-team place became even more difficult following the signings of established Premiership strikers Mark Viduka, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Yakubu.

Job's contract with Middlesbrough expired after his most recent loan spell with Al-Ittihad. Job spent part of the 2006/2007 pre-season training with FA Premiership side Watford but was not offered a contract. He joined the Ligue 1 club CS Sedan in October 2006.

Job describes himself as a committed Muslim[1]. He has represented the Cameroon national team at both the 1998 and 2002 World Cups.
