Josef Vašíček (born 12 September 1980 in Havlíčkův Brod, Czechoslovakia) is an ice hockey center who currently plays for the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League.

• Vasicek was drafted 91st overall by the Hurricanes in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
• He scored his 1st Hat trick came against San Jose
• In 06-07 Big Joe watched his Canes lift the Cup
• Vasicek was traded to the Nashville Predators in the Summer of 2006 for Scott Walker.
