José Reinaldo de Lima

José Reinaldo de Lima, best known as Reinaldo (born Ponte Nova, January 11, 1957) was a Brazilian footballer who played as a striker.
Nicknamed by Mineiro's fans The King, in his career (1973–1988), he played
- for Clube Atlético Mineiro, where he scored 255 goals (best ever), averaged 1.55 goal per match in 1977, 28 goals in 18 matches, the best average in Brazilian League ever
- for Palmeiras, Rio Negro (AM), Cruzeiro, in Sweden with Hacken de Goteborg
- and he closed in the Netherlands with Stormvogels Telstar Team.
He won eight Campeonato Mineiro, six consecutive (1976, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1985).
He played 30 matches with the Brazilian team, between July 1975 and May 1985, and scored 11 goals. He played in the 1978 FIFA World Cup, and scored one goal against Sweden; and he scored the goal that put the Brazilian team through to the 1982 FIFA World Cup but was not in the squad for the final tournament in Spain. Reinaldo is still remembered by the club supporters and received significant support from both the club and the fans when he faced persecution for drug consumption in 1998. In 2004, he was elected in Belo Horizonte for list Partido dos Trabalhadores.
